Hoya australis (Wax Flower)
Hoya australis (Wax Flower) is a moderately vigorous evergreen climber, with fragrant white, waxy flowers. It is native to northern Australia, from north-east NSW around to the north-eastern part of Western Australia, and to Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Fiji, Tonga and New Caledonia. Wax Flower prefers a bright shady environment in tropical and subtropical areas, but will cope in temperate areas if protected from frost. Hoya australis has not naturalised beyond its native range in Australia and is not invasive anywhere.
