Eremophila glabra (Tar Bush, Emu Bush)
Eremophila glabra (Tarbush, Emubush) is a variable native groundcover or small to medium shrub, present in all mainland Australian states and the Northern Territory. Many sub-species are recognised. Eremophila glabra is not considered invasive anywhere in Australia, or elsewhere globally. The plant produces attractive yellow, orange or red flowers throughout much of the year. It is drought tolerant and many forms are useful for landscaping ‘tricky’ areas. It is believed to be the parent of several registered Eremophila cultivars.
