Bulbine bulbosa (Native Leek, Golden Lily, Bulbine Lily)

(Bulbinopsis bulbosa, Anthericum bulbosum)

Bulbine bulbosa (Native Leek, Golden Lily) is a perennial herb with soft, bright green, grass-like leaves and bright yellow star-shaped flowers. Flowers appear in spring and leaves die down over summer and re-shoot in autumn from edible tubers. Golden Lily is native to the eastern half of Australia (Qld, NSW, Vic, Tas, SA) and grows in a wide range of soils types and habitats. It is not recorded as naturalised outside its native range or invasive anywhere.
