Austrostipa stipoides (Prickly Spear Grass) is a perennial tussock grass native to NSW, VIC, SA, TAS. Austrostipa stipoides is a low risk native grass, exhibiting no evidence it has naturalised outside of its native range or elsewhere globally. It is a tussock forming grass with low care requirements. It has beautiful bronze foliage and can tolerate harsh conditions such as full sun and harsh wind. Pet owners should be aware the seeds of this grass are prickly and attach the animal fur readily.
