(Casuarina luehmannii)

Allocasuarina luehmannii is a tree, up to 15m, native throughout Southeast Australia including QLD, NSW and VIC. Allocasuarina luehmannii has not naturalised outside of its native range in Australia or elsewhere globally. It is not considered invasive anywhere globally. Allocasuarina luehmannii has good properties for a windbreak. Allocasuarina leaves are small, forming whorls of teeth on the branchlets. The tree is dioecious, with separate male and female trees. Allocasuarina luehmannii attract native wildlife, including black cockatoos, which eat the seeds.
