Agastache rugosa (Korean Mint)

Agastache rugosa is a short-lived perennial herb with upright habit, aniseed-scented leaves and purple tubular flowers. It is native to East Asia (China, Japan, Korea, Siberia). It is unknown how long it has been in the nursery trade in Australia, but is widely cultivated in Asia and Europe as a culinary and medicinal herb, and pollinator attracting flower. There is some evidence that it has naturalised in parts of Europe. Reproduction is predominantly via seed.
