Grevillea pteridifolia (Golden Grevillea; Fern-leaved Silky, Honeysuckle GrevilleaOak)

(Grevillea chrysodendrum, Grevillea mitchellii)

This native large shrub or small tree is native to northern Australia, including WA, NT, and Qld. The species has not become naturalised outside its native range in Australia, neither regarded as invasive anywhere in the world. It has become naturalised overseas in India according to one source, but more evidence is needed. It was suggested that the species could become invasive under certain conditions. The species produces racemes of orange flowers in winter and spring. The flowers contain a lot of nectar that attracts birds and animals. It is a fast growing species and branches can be damaged by strong winds. It can produce more than 3,000 seeds per year, which have a high germination rate (80%).
