Epacris microphylla (Coral Heath)
(Epacris microphylla var. microphylla, Epacris rivularis)This small shrub, which grows to 100–180 cm tall, is native to eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, ACT, and VIC) where it grows in swampy heath, coastal heath and in dry sclerophyll forest on sandstone and granite. Although it has been in the Australian ornamental plant trade since 1898 it has not become naturalised nor invasive anywhere. Flowering is year-round but mainly between July to November. Reproduction is via seed.
