Epacris longiflora (Fuchsia Heath)
(Epacris longiflora f. longiflora, Epacris grandiflora)This small shrub, which grows to 50–200 cm tall, is native to eastern Australia (QLD and NSW) where it predominantly grows on sandy soils on cliff faces, in heath to woodland margins and dry sclerophyll forest. Although it has been in the Australian ornamental plant trade since 1857 it has not become naturalised nor invasive anywhere. Flowering is year-round and peaks around summer and autumn. Reproduction is via seed.
