Elaeocarpus reticulatus (Blueberry Ash, Ash Quandong)

( Elaeocarpus cyaneus)

This shrub to small tree is native to QLD, NSW, VIC and TAS. It has been in the plant trade since 1851 and has become naturalised in Victoria outside its native range, but it is not considered invasive. It has naturalised in New Zealand as well according to one source, but there is no evidence that this species has invasive characteristics anywhere in the world. It produces white or pink flowers from October to January and blue fruits which are eaten by birds.
