Carpobrotus glaucescens is a perennial groundcover endemic to the east coast of Australia (incl. Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island). It is a prostrate plant with stems up to 2m long covered in succulent leaves that are triangular in cross-section. Flowers are bright pink and fruit is edible. It is a coastal species widely planted in coastal and exposed gardens. It is not regarded as invasive in part of Australia or overseas, though it is recorded as a possible garden escape in the UK and NZ.
