Alectryon coriaceus (Beach Bird's eye; Beach Alectryon)

(orthographic variant: Alectryon coriaceum, nomenclatural synonym: Nephelium coriaceum)

This rainforest tree is native to QLD and NSW and can reach a height of 11 meters. It is unknown how long it has been in the plant trade for, but it has not become naturalised or invasive anywhere in Australia nor overseas. It has leathery thick leaves and produces greenish yellow flowers in December. This tree features red and black fruits that mature from March to July.
