Ajuga australis (Austral Bugle)

Ajuga australis, commonly known as Austral Bugle, is a herbaceous flowering plant native to Eastern Australia. It forms a dense groundcover suitable for part-shaded or sunny spots in the garden on most soils. Spikes of mauve flowers appear in spring. There is no evidence that it is invasive anywhere or naturalised outside its native range.
