Syzygium australe ‘Hinterland Gold’ (Lilly Pilly; Gold lilly pilly)

This native cultivar is a fast growing evergreen shrub. It produces white flowers in spring followed by fleshy red berries in the warmer months. The parent species Syzygium australe is native to QLD and NSW and has not become naturalised anywhere in Australia outside its native range, although is considered an environmental weed in New Zealand. Stability was inferred through time in plant trade.
