Teucrium fruticans (Shrubby Germander; Tree Germander)
( Chamaedrys latifolia )This perennial shrub is native to the Mediterranean region. It has been in the ornamental plant trade in Australia since 1906 and has not become naturalised despite a high degree of climate similarity between its native range and NSW. There is no evidence that the species is invasive anywhere. Shrubby Germander reproduces by seed and in cultivation it can reproduce vegetatively as well. The plant has woolly, whitish stems with aromatic grey green foliage. In spring and summer it produces blue flowers.
