Magnolia doltsopa (Sweet Magnolia, Chinese Magnolia)

(Michelia doltsopa)

Magnolia doltsopa is a tree of the eastern Himalayas, Tibet and China. Records show that the species has been in the ornamental trade in Australia since 1981. There is no evidence to suggest that sweet magnolia has become naturalised or invasive anywhere in the world. It reproduces by seed but there is no information on how it is dispersed.
