Ligustrum undulatum (Box-leaf Privet)

(Phillyrea undulata, Visiania undulata)

This evergreen shrub is native to New Guinea. Despite being in the ornamental trade in Australia since 1851, this species has not naturalised. There is also no evidence Box-Leaf Privet has naturalised elsewhere outside its native range. Unlike many other Privet species, Box-Leaf Privet is non-invasive. This species does not produce fertile fruit. This species is fast-growing and makes an ideal hedge plant.
