Hebe diosmifolia (Dwarf Hebe)

This shrub is native to New Zealand. Dwarf Hebe has been in the ornamental trade in Australia since 1865. There is no evidence the species has naturalised in Australia or elsewhere. Reproduction is via seed. Fruit is produced from October – May, and the winged seeds are dispersed by wind. Hebe species are known to have some degree of toxicity. Dwarf Hebe has small slender dark green leaves and white terminal flower clusters. This plant is sometimes still referred to as ‘Veronica’
