Euphorbia amygdaloides (Wood Spurge)

This is an evergreen perennial herb that is native to Europe and western Asia. There is no data about how long it has been in the ornamental plant trade in Australia. The species has not become naturalised in Australia. It is recorded as naturalised in New Zealand but has not been noted as invasive anywhere in the world. The species reproduces by seed and is also slightly stoloniferous and roots at nodes. There are some areas in southern NSW that have similar climate to the species’ native range.
