Aglaonema nitidum (Chinese Evergreen)

This is a perennial herb native to south east Asia. It grows 1.5m high and features large variegated leaves. It has not become naturalised in Australia and is not noted as naturalised or invasive anywhere in the world. There is no information on how long it has been in the ornamental trade in Australia. It reproduces by seed which are dispersed by birds. There is some climate similarity between its native range and parts of NSW.
