Agave seemanniana

(A. s. subsp. pygmaea, Agave pygmae)

Agave seemanniana is an evergreen, stemless, succulent with an open rosette of leaves that can be 100 – 150cm tall and 150 – 200cm in diameter. After several years of growth, a flowering stem that can be around 4 – 6 metres tall is produced, after which the rosette will die. Dragon Toes is a popular cultivar. There is no evidence of it naturalising anywhere in the world.
