(Nageia falcata)

This exotic conifer is an evergreen tree native to Africa, from Malawi to South Africa. It is popular as a street and shade tree in parks. It is unknown how long it has been in the plant trade for. It has not naturalised in Australia, and it is not recorded as invasive anywhere in the world. It does not have many invasive characteristics. It reproduces only via seed which are dispersed by birds, but individuals only become reproductive in their fourth year of life.
