Liriope muscari ‘Evergreen Giant’ (Lily Turf)

Liriope ‘Evergreen Giant’ is a clumping strappy leafed perennial herb with green leaves and large stems of bell-shaped purple-blue flowers in Spring and Summer. It is one of several popular cultivars that has been in trade since around 2002. It is not recorded as naturalised or invasive in Australia or overseas. The ‘Evergreen Giant’ variety has been in trade for several years. Its parent, Liriope muscari is a low risk exotic. Liriope ‘Evergreen Giant’ produces the same grasslike strappy foliage as its parent. It also prduces spikes of bell-shaped purple flowers in early summer.
