Fraxinus excelsior ‘Aurea’ (Golden Ash)

This tree is a cultivar of Fraxnius excelsior and has an upright habit with weeping orange-yellow stemmed branches. The leaves are golden yellow turning bright yellow during autumn before falling. Fraxinus excelsior ‘Aurea’ are grafted on to Fraxinus oxycarpa rootstocks. Fraxinus excelsior ‘Aurea’ is a sterile cultivar. As this cultivar appears to be stable and does not produce viable propagules it is an acceptable substitute for its parent.
