Acalypha wilkesiana ‘Firestorm’ (Fijian Fire Plant)
Acalypha ‘Firestorm’ is an evergreen shrub with bright foliage coloured in reds, with bright green new growth all year round. Pink flowers bloom in the warmer months. It can grow to a maximum height of 1m. The parent species has been in the ornamental plant trade for more than 50 years and became naturalised in QLD, but there is no evidence of invasive behaviour overseas. The stability of this cultivar has been inferred via time in plant trade.
