Eucalyptus deglupta (Rainbow Gum, Indonesian Gum, Mindanao Gum)

Eucalyptus deglupta (Indonesian Gum) is a tall evergreen tree native to Indonesia, the Philippines and Papua New Guinea. It is well known for its striking rainbow colours under newly pealed bark. It is grown in plantations in tropical areas and favours sandy, alluvial soils. It has been introduced to several countries but is not recorded as naturalised or invasive. Time in trade in Australia is unknown.
