Stachys byzantina (Lambs Ear) is a perennial evergreen herb used as a groundcover and edging plant. It is popular for its soft, furry grey leaves. It is widely planted in temperate regions and has naturalised in several countries overseas. It has also naturalised in SA and possibly the ACT. Despite being widely naturalised it is not known to be invasive. It can spread vegetatively by stolons or by seed.
