Senecio serpens (Blue Chalk Sticks)

(Kleinia repens, Senecio repens)

Senecio serpens is a perennial succulent with chalky-blue fleshy upright stems. It is popular as a trailing groundcover in dry gardens. It has been in trade in Australia since 1933. There is no record of it as naturalised or invasive anywhere in the world. It is possible that other similar looking species are also sold as Blue Chalksticks.
