Rhagodia spinescens (Spiny Saltbush, Ruby Saltbush)

Rhagodia spinescens (Spiny Saltbush) is native to all mainland states of Australia. It is a small shrub 0.5-1.5m high with small fleshy green-grey leaves covered by a white flour like powder. Rhagodia spinescens is not known to be invasive within Australia or elsewhere globally. It produces attractive small red fruit and was utilised by indigenous Australians. It is best suited to temperate and semiarid regions.
