Perovskia atriplicifolia (Russian Sage)

Russian Sage is a deciduous, perennial sub-shrub native to Afghanistan, Pakistan and western China. Its showy purple flower spikes appear from summer to autumn. It reproduces by seed and spreads by suckering roots. It is possibly naturalised in parts of Europe but is not recorded as invasive anywhere in the world. It is a parent of Perovskia ‘Blue Spire’
