Indigofera australis (Australian Indigo)
Indigofera australis, Australian Indigo, is a slender shrub to 2 m high. Indigofera australis is widespread through Australia, from south-eastern Western Australia to north-eastern Queensland. Australian Indigo is not invasive anywhere in Australia outside of its native range. The plant is widespread in open forest and woodlands. The pea shaped flowers open from September to November and range in colour from pink to purple hues. Indigofera australis is a drought and frost hardy plant.
