Abelia grandiflora ‘Shorty’

Abelia grandiflora ‘Shorty’ is a cultivar produced in Australia, an evergreen small shrub with white, green and pink variegated foliage. It produces white flowers in summer and autumn. The parent species Abelia x grandiflora is a cross between Abelia chinensis and Abelia uniflora, both native to eastern China. Abelia x grandiflora has been in the Australian plant trade for more than 50 years and has become naturalised in NSW, but it is not regarded as invasive anywhere in Australia or the world.
